Substantive Paper Issue: An overview of the extend of poverty challenges in Africa, highlighting efforts that are being made by government, private sector and civil society to address these challenges in Africa. Efforts made by researchers to assist policy-makers and implementers in addressing these challenges. The paper will also make recommendations on what researchers, policy-makers and implementers can do to make the fight against poverty effective.
