Poverty and access to household services and labour force participation by Youth in South Africa

A third of young people lived in poverty with 16   percent classified as ultra poor in 2000.   It is reported that the proportion of youth living in households with expenditure below R800 per month declined by 14% to 44.3% during 2002 and 2006.
