The quality of life and human well-being in South Africa, as in the rest of the world, to a large extent depends on the quality of the biophysical environment. At the same time, demographic changes in the South African population, together with human activities such as economic development and consumption of resources, continuously change the biophysical conditions around us, which again have implications for the quality of human well-being and development in the country. |
